Bulls not so new head coach

New Head Coach Brendan CunnaneThe Birmingham Bulls are delighted to announce that with immediate effect, Brendan Cunnane will take over as head coach from his brother Chris.

Brendan is a true Bull and has a proven track record of being a winner. He has demonstrated excellent leadership qualities and has gained respect from players and coaches throughout the UK. Brendan has always enjoyed coaching and has gained good experience from his coaching spells at the Birmingham University Lions and has been tutored by some fine coaches whilst playing at the Bulls. Not only has he played with some of Britain`s best at the Bulls, but he has gained experience by representing Bulldogs at college level, Great Britain Lions seniors and NFLE trials too.

The Bulls are also bringing in new assistant coaches and coordinators in an effort to revitalise the club by leading from the front. The new personnel will be announced shortly.

Birmingham Bulls general manager , Steve “House“ Hannington said, We are all excited at the prospect of having Brendan as our head coach, and the players, new and old support him 100%. We are bringing in new coaching staff to help redevelop the club back to its former glory as national champions. We are putting together a fresh team of coaches with new ambitions and they all buy into our new blueprint for the future. We have recruited some excellent young talent for this year and for years to come.
We are saddened and disappointed to have lost some personnel this season but the game is in danger of creating a mercenary attitude in order to buy success by any financial means possible. We do not wish to become part of that and we are looking to BAFA to create new guidelines to help protect all clubs in all levels in the future.

The Bulls are still looking for players or coaches who wish to enjoy their football in a longstanding, successful winning programme. If you wish to join us then contact Steve Hannington on steven.hannington@btinternet.com as you will be welcome.
