Hall of Fame inducteed 2008

The first award of the evening went to the fifth player enrolled so far , which was Mark “ Spider “ Webb.

Mark Webb Kicking a field goalMark was a standout place kicker who built a remarkable reputation as a solid , ever reliable guy. He outshone previous kickers such as Richard Meanwell and even World League representatives such as Phil Alexander. Spider was a Bull , always was and always will be. He was a good team leader , strong in character and cool under pressure on many , many occasions.
One of his glory moments was the epic 1991 British Championship final versus our old rivals , the great London Olympians. The football fans in the UK have never witnessed a final like it since , as the lead passed from one to the other right until a few minutes to go.With quarterback Dave Kramme moving the ball down the open middle of the field to Maverick Logan , the clock was ticking and the Olympians tough defense held out but the Bulls were in field position. Up stepped Mark and nailed the winning field goal in front of a massive crowd at Alexander Stadium.

Mark "Sider" Webb Hall of Fame InducteeFollowing on from that success, Mark was selected as part of the record breaking number of Bulls selected for the Great Britain Lions squad for the European Championships in Finland. Another well deserved honour for Mark and the team.
The Bulls have welcomed Mark into the coaching ranks as Special Teams coach , where he can pass on his talent and experience to the next generation of Bulls.
