Bulls coaching success
Saturday March 29th was another successful date in this years Bulls diary, as six coaches achieved their BAFCA Level 1 Assistant Coach qualification, during an all day session held at Loughborough University in Leicestershire.
Some of the guys have been coaching for a number of years whilst some are new to the art of coaching. The Bulls have been striving towards getting more qualified coaches for some time and there are several more to come later this year
Gary Hodgen , Adam Poulson and Steve “House“ Hannington will carry on their roles with the senior team members , while Kenny Dubnick, Andy Willis and Jonty Carter will concentrate on the rapidly growing Youth Academy.
Gary Hodgen, club Chairman said, “This is a good day for the Bulls. We will now use this as a stepping stone to help the development of the whole Bulls organisation. We have 4 or 5 more guys who are looking to do their level 1`s and we hope to get those done asap. We are growing our coaching staff to large numbers in order to cope with the rising numbers of rookies of all ages who are coming to our club and we need to continue attracting players and coaches, either rookies or experienced to our ranks.”
Steve “House“ Hannington, general manager said “ its great to see BAFCA finally getting level 1 sessions sorted. Coach Dodd and Coach Newnham did a great job with helping everybody through and we thank them for their efforts. It was good to see so many coaches turn out and get involved, which is what the game needs now.”
